Homemade

I love things that are handmade. The time, thought, and skill to make things makes them special and when you give something handmade, the giving seems so much more rewarding. I have pictures, which will finally come after Christmas when I get pics of the recipients opening their items! I am so excited!!
Some craftiness I have been up to this Christmas:

- Crocheted dishcloths
- Hot iron cozies
- Amigurumi Friends
- Crayon Rolls - no pics of these they have already been given away but you can find a great tutorial HERE - you can also search for the felt crayon roll tutorial, on this site, which I also made and it holds a little notepad too, really cute!
- Coloring books
- Hooded towels

Things that are coming in the new year:

- Brown Sugar Scrubs
- Little zippered pouches
- Quiet Book (which has actually been in the works since the summer, and I just now have all the page patterns together and supplies gathered!)
- Drink coasters
- Aromatherapy pouches
- Knit Sweater (one for CJ and NJ for Christmas next year!)
- Crochet baby afghan
- Seat covers for the cushions on my dining room chairs -which I already have fabric for I just need time to sit in front of my machine for a LONG time!

Anyway, I love making homemade. I hope soon probably in a year or two to learn to make soap. :) We'll see. So far the reading I have done on making soap seems to scare me with all the precautions needed to not hurt yourself! hA!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

The angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed

Nothing says love like homemade. I'm inspired....(I'd say envious, but that's not right, so rather, "inspired" by your craftiness.)
